International Festival of Independent Cinema Mastercard OFF CAMERA is one of the biggest events of this kind in this part of Europe. Record high awards and promotion of independent cinema are what distinguish it from other festivals around the world.

LET’S CELEBRATE 15 YEARS OF INDEPENDENT CINEMA IN KRAKOW!

The 15th edition of Mastercard OFF Camera festival will be celebrated in a unique style! We will invite our audience to the most charming screening rooms in Krakow and the most magical corners of the city where we will hold open-air screenings, loved so much by the audience.

To meet the needs of our times, part of the festival repertoire will be available online – on Player.pl and PLAY Kraków platforms.

There will also be a multitude of exceptional accompanying events!

In 2022, after a two-year break, the festival again will be held during the May bank holidays – we will start on 29th April and finish on 8th May!

MASTERCARD OFF CAMERA

The most interesting films from around the world, global film stars, Polish and international premieres.

The main assumptions and tradition of Mastercard OFF CAMERA festival refer to the American festival of independent cinema – Sundance Film Festival. High awards and promotion of independent cinema distinguish the event from other festivals around the world.

During the Krakow film fiesta, the audience from all over the world focus on independent cinema, brave both in terms of content and formal structure, that relies on gripping, fascinating stories. The most important part of the festival is the International Dramatic Competition “Making Way” in which ten first and second film directors compete for the Krakow Film Award in the amount of USD 25,000, granted by the international Jury.

The event attracts the most famous personalities from the film and series world. A key element of the program is the Polish Feature Film Competition in which the best Polish film productions from the last season compete for the dFlights Award in the amount of PLN 100,000.

Mastercard OFF CAMERA is also the venue for a range of workshops, lectures and panel discussions related to the screened films and particular sections, as well as industry meetings. Many directors whose films are presented during the festival come to Krakow to meet the viewers. All the events create the unique climate of Mastercard OFF CAMERA festival – a celebration of independent cinema.
